Community art is artistic activity that is based in a community setting, characterized by interaction or dialogue with the community and often involving a professional artist collaborating with people who may not otherwise engage in the arts
Artist Community and Process
This artwork process is about bringing everyone together in a community attending special events, festivals or mass gatherings by inviting all attendees to "make their mark" on the same canvas with many others marking a point in time / life . Often they are auctioned off at the event or sold afterwards to those who want to support local charities, creative Non-Profits, artists and the local community by donating and exhibiting the final artwork in their business, office or home . Sometimes I retouch them a bit, but they are not solely my personal artworks . I just provide free painting supplies/materials, weekend pop-up and facilitate, invite many people/painters usually creating fascinating themed abstracts over 2-3 days .

Tell me: What’s this all about? Thanks to Instagram, this is now officially the most famous street corner in Austin. Located on buzzing South Congress Avenue, on one side of the popular Jo's Coffee, it's a green painted wall bearing a simple message in elegant red text: "I love you so much". You don't need tickets, but you will almost certainly need to wait your turn in line for a few minutes to have a photograph taken. Any ideas for taking an amazing selfie at a Llano bank right now ?
What’s it like being there? Fun, simple and uplifting. The colors are great, the message is great, the photo is a gimme that's impossible to mess up. Job done.

Who ? It's very much a tourist must-do in the Texas Hill Country.
So then what, or who, do you think it’s best for?
The beauty of this mural is that it's for absolutely everyone. You could sit your dog in front of it for a picture (people do this on a daily basis!). It works on pretty much every level, and has the potential to end up in a frame in your parents' house too.
Each heart is different . Some hearts are perfect and many others are not, but the are all colorful and REFLECT each artists uniquely personal perspective . Families, Elderly, Youth and Disabled ALL painted together, side by side, talking and sharing for long periods of time . It was a JOY to participate in this awesome event again and this painting is ALIVE ! It let so many escape into a colorful world and made so many people relaxed and happy . It will never die .
