I started a Series:  #Coronadaze  during COVID  which resulted in creating many pieces addressing mass grief and dedicated to survivors as well as honoring emergency care givers and first responders .  Initially, as an artist, I often felt self indulgent and irrelevant compared to the tragic circumstances occurring during the pandemic .  

For some, being an artist can easily be quite narcissistic and unrewarding, but also very self healing and liberating; so it’s a fine line to balance personally over time . 

Focusing on creating these pieces gave me strength and purpose and an outlet to share and express with others also feeling afraid and overwhelmed . Exhibiting this artwork also provided an outlet to recognize, share and thank so many people for what they do every day.
